Greatconnections Limited (ABN 48 117 660 581) (Greatconnections) maintains this website (“www.greatconnections.com.au” or other related websites) (Site) for the purpose of operating and providing a web-based program that links the specific needs of not-for-profit organisations with experienced professional volunteers (Projects Program).
The terms and conditions set out in this document (Terms) apply to all users of this Site.  By using this Site, you accept and agree to these Terms.  Please ensure that you read these Terms carefully, especially the disclaimers and limitations of liability.
Greatconnections may change these Terms at any time.  Please check these Terms at regular intervals for any changes.  Your continued use of the Site following any change to these Terms will be deemed acceptance of those changes.

1. Use of website

1.1 The information on this Site and these Terms have been prepared in accordance with Australian law, but may not satisfy the laws of other countries. 

1.2 By using this Site, you are also agreeing to Greatconnections’ Privacy Policy, as set out here.

1.3 You must not distribute through the Site (or send to email addresses listed on this Site) any inappropriate communication in any form, including obscene, harassing, pornographic, abusive, slanderous, defamatory, vulgar, threatening or offensive material.

1.4 You must not bypass any security mechanisms imposed by the Site.

1.5 By emailing materials to Greatconnections, you grant Greatconnections a non-exclusive, royalty free, perpetual licence to use, modify, reproduce, distribute or otherwise deal with those materials in any manner which Greatconnections deems appropriate.  In addition, you agree to waive all "moral rights" in those materials.

1.6 You must not collect email addresses listed on this Site for any purposes connected with the production of marketing or email databases.

2. Disclaimer - Not-for-Profit Organisations

2.1 By subscribing to Greatconnections volunteer-matching service, you agree that to the extent permitted by law Greatconnections and its officers, employees and agents are not liable for any loss or damage that may arise directly or indirectly as a result of releasing details of your organisation to individuals who have registered as volunteers for the Greatconnections Projects Program or as a result of any act, omission or conduct of Greatconnections or its officers, employees, agents or volunteers.

2.2 You agree that Greatconnections is not in a position to, or obliged to, undertake any form of verification or assessment as to the suitability of any volunteer for any position within your organisation. Furthermore, you agree that you will perform all necessary enquiries into the background and experience of any person who contacts your organisation as a result of information provided by Greatconnections and that you will independently assess whether such a person is appropriate for any position within your organisation.

3. Disclaimer - Volunteers

3.1 By registering as a volunteer for the Greatconnections Projects Program you agree that to the extent permitted by law Greatconnections is not liable for any loss or damage that you suffer directly or indirectly as a result of any involvement that you may have with a not-for-profit organisation that is registered for the Greatconnections Projects Program (Registered Organisation), or as a result of any act, omission or conduct of a Registered Organisation or Greatconnections (or their officers, employees or agents).

3.2 You acknowledge that Greatconnections is not in a position to, or obliged to, undertake any form of verification or assessment as to the objectives, operations or reputation of any Registered Organisation or any assessment as to your suitability for a particular position within a Registered Organisation.  Furthermore, you agree that you will undertake your own assessment of the objectives, operations and reputation of any Registered Organisation and your suitability for any position with a Registered Organisation.  

4. Prices

4.1 All prices detailed on this Site are in, and are payable in, Australian dollars and include GST where applicable unless otherwise specified.

4.2 Greatconnections reserves the right to vary the prices without prior notice.

5. General Disclaimer

5.1 Greatconnections does not warrant that access to this Site will be uninterrupted, or that the services offered on this Site will be error-free.  We reserve the right to change or discontinue any feature on this Site, hours of availability and equipment or software required for access.

5.2 Greatconnections uses reasonable endeavours to update the Site regularly, however Greatconnections makes no representation as to the accuracy, currency or completeness of any information or services available on this Site.  All information and services are provided on an “as is” basis, and you are responsible for assessing their accuracy and you rely on them entirely at your own risk.

5.3 To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable law, Greatconnections excludes all terms, conditions and representations, express or implied, other than these Terms, in relation to the use of the Site.

6. Liability

6.1 To the extent permitted by law, Greatconnections excludes all liability for any loss or damage, including any consequential loss or indirect loss, loss of data or loss of profits, arising in relation to the use of the Site (including the inability to use the Site), whether or not caused by Greatconnections' negligence, and whether or not the possibility of loss was known to Greatconnections.

7. Indemnity

7.1 You must maintain the confidentiality of any identification information (including username and password) (ID) used to access the Site. 

7.2 You hereby indemnify Greatconnections from any loss, damage, liability or expense arising directly or indirectly from the use or misuse of the Site by using your ID, the misuse of the Site by you or any other act, omission or conduct by you.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Unless otherwise indicated, Greatconnections owns or has licence to all intellectual property (including without limitation copyright, trademark and designs) subsisting in the materials on this Site.  Greatconnections authorises you to reproduce and download the materials exclusively for non-commercial use in the intended manner.  Otherwise, to the extent allowed by law, no part of this Site may be reproduced, reused, retransmitted, adapted, published, broadcast or distributed without Greatconnections’ prior written permission.

8.2 All names, logos and trademarks on this Site are the property of their respective owners.  Nothing on the Site should be interpreted as granting any rights to commercial use or distribute any names, logos or trademarks, without the express written agreement of the relevant owners.

9.1 Where the Site contains any hyperlinks to any other websites (External Sites), Greatconnections is not responsible for the accuracy, legality or decency of material or copyright compliance of any such External Sites.  All hyperlinks are provided for convenience and information purposes only, and Greatconnections does not approve, sponsor or endorse any of the External Sites.

10. Jurisdiction

10.1 These Terms are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.  The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

11. Miscellaneous

11.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be void, unlawful or unenforceable for any reason, then that portion of the provision that creates the invalidity, unlawfulness or unenforceability will be severable from these Terms and will not otherwise affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

11.2 The information on this Site and these Terms have been prepared in accordance with Australian law, but may not satisfy the laws of other countries.  If you reside in, or access this Site from, a country other than Australia (User Country), you acknowledge that:

(1) if the information and these Terms satisfy the laws of the User Country, then you are entitled to use and access the Site; and

(2) if the information and these Terms do not satisfy the laws of the User Country, then this Site is not intended for your use and you are not entitled to rely on the information contained on this Site.  If you do so, you agree to indemnify Greatconnections for any loss, costs, liability or damage that Greatconnections may incur as a result.
