Our History

Launched at Government House Melbourne in February 2006, Greatconnections was founded by Lynne Landy, the wife of the former Governor John Landy, with the purpose of creating and nurturing a new team of volunteers amongst the more skilled, experienced mature members of the community whose contribution to the Not-for-Profit sector.

In 2009, Greatconnections’ cadre over 190 skilled volunteers and contributed services valued at an estimated $2 million to nearly 100 Not-for-Profit organisations. In 2009, the Greatconnections Board appointed an inaugural CEO, Dr Gael Jennings, to move Greatconnections from start-up to sustainable.

With the recent success in securing operational funds for 2010 – 2012, Greatconnections is well on the way to becoming Australia’s leading Not-for-Profit broker.
